This describes only what this website does. It is short because the site does very little.

What the forms collect

There are three ways to write to us and they ask for slightly different things.

The enquiry form, on the contact page and at the foot of most pages, asks for your name, your mobile number, your email address and a description of what needs fixing.

The message panel in the corner of every page asks for your message and your mobile number and your email address. Both are required: the number so we can ring or message you back, and the email so we can reply in writing. Neither is used for anything else.

The careers form, on the jobs page, asks for your name, your mobile number, your email address, your town, which job you are asking about, how many years you have been doing it, and a few lines about the work you have done. It goes to a different mailbox thread and a different log from the enquiry form, so a plumber looking for work and a householder with a leak do not end up in the same pile.

With any of them, the page you sent it from and the IP address of your connection are recorded alongside what you typed, because both are needed to stop automated abuse.

Where it goes

They all go to one mailbox belonging to Yotubero, so that somebody can get back to you on the number you gave. It is not passed to anyone else, not sold, and not used for marketing. We ring the number you give us about the job you described.

Counting visits: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

Pages here load Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We use them to see which pages people read, which buttons they press, and where a message to us gets stuck, so we can make the site easier to use.

Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your rough location from your IP address, your device and browser, and the actions this site reports to it: starting the problem form, a form that did not send, a form or chat message that did, opening the chat, the "Send the problem" and "Chat" buttons, and how far down a page you scrolled. It never receives your name, email address, phone number or anything you typed.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, which it can play back as a recording of the page. Every form on this site is hidden from it, so a recording shows an empty box where you typed.

Both set cookies to tell one visit from the next. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_YK37Q6MVV3 on this site, kept for up to two years. Clarity sets _clck, kept for a year, and _clsk, kept for a day, on this site, and Microsoft sets CLID, MUID, MR, SM, SRM_B and ANONCHK on its own addresses, clarity.ms and bing.com. What Google and Microsoft keep, and for how long, is decided by them and is set out in their own privacy statements.

The addresses involved: Tag Manager loads from www.googletagmanager.com, Google Analytics receives at www.google-analytics.com (or region1.google-analytics.com) and at www.google.com, and Clarity loads from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms, syncs its cookie through c.clarity.ms and c.bing.com, and sends what it records to one collection address under clarity.ms that Microsoft picks for each visit, such as b.clarity.ms, i.clarity.ms, l.clarity.ms, n.clarity.ms or z.clarity.ms.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, none of this loads unless you press Accept on the banner. Everywhere else it loads by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice here, and Reject stops it loading on every page after that.

What this site does not do

• Nothing you type is stored in your browser.

What Cloudflare does

This site sits behind Cloudflare, which serves it faster and keeps it up. A check in a real browser on 25 September 2026 found Cloudflare doing three things on this site that we did not write:

• One cookie, cf_clearance. Cloudflare sets it to tell people from bots. It lasts about a year, your browser will not let a script read it, and it is not used to follow you between sites or to show you anything.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare adds beacon.min.js from static.cloudflareinsights.com to every page as it serves it, and that script counts page views for Cloudflare’s dashboard without cookies and without identifying visitors.
• Ordinary request records. Like any host, Cloudflare records the address your request came from, the page asked for and the browser that asked, and keeps that for a while to spot attacks.

Abuse prevention

The form keeps a short count of submissions per connection for one hour, to limit automated sending. That count holds no personal detail: it is a one-way hash of the IP address and a list of times.

Asking us to delete something

Send the request through the contact form or the chat, with the mobile number you used, and the enquiry will be deleted from the mailbox.

Changes

If the site starts doing something else with what you send, this page changes first.
